Terms of Service

By downloading, accessing, or using the SocietyCare mobile application and web platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not use our Service.

1. Account Registration & Email Verification

To access community features, you must register for an account using a valid email address and verify ownership of that email via our OTP or link authentication system.

• True Representation: You agree to provide accurate full names, valid phone numbers, and legitimate residential flat numbers when joining a society. Impersonation of another resident or committee member is grounds for immediate account termination and legal reporting.
• Single-Device Session Policy: For security reasons, concurrent login sessions across multiple unauthorized devices are prohibited. Logging into a new device will automatically terminate active sessions on previous devices.

2. Society Join Codes & Strict Capacity Limits

To join a specific housing community on SocietyCare, residents must input the unique 6-character alphanumeric Society Code generated by their society administrator.

• Strict Capacity Safeguard: To prevent overcrowding or unauthorized access, each society enforces a strict capacity ceiling: total approved members cannot exceed the registered number of flats plus two (`Approved Members <= Total Flats + 2`). Once this limit is reached, pending join requests will be blocked until an existing member is removed or the society capacity is formally adjusted.
• Approval Authority: Society administrators (`Admin` role) hold full discretion to approve, reject, or remove members based on physical occupancy or tenancy status.

3. Digital Payments, Maintenance Dues & UTR Verification

SocietyCare enables society committees to pay app SaaS subscription charges via Razorpay, while residents pay monthly maintenance dues directly to their society's official bank account and verify payments via UTR receipts.

• App Subscription Charges: Society administrators paying for SocietyCare premium/subscription tiers via Razorpay are subject to Razorpay's payment terms and PCI-DSS processing rules.
• Maintenance Dues & UTR Receipt Integrity: When residents upload manual bank transfer receipts (UTR screenshots) to log their monthly maintenance payments, you certify that the transaction is authentic and matches the exact amount transferred to your society's bank account. Submitting forged receipts or false UTR numbers will result in administrative penalties and account suspension.

4. Nova AI Voice Assistant & Community Chat Rules

The Application includes autonomous AI voice commands (`Nova`) and a real-time Community Chat system with automated 90-day retention.

• Prohibited Content: You agree not to post defamatory, harassing, abusive, obscene, or illegal content in Community Chat rooms, or use Nova voice inputs to inject malicious commands or harass committee personnel.
• Data Expiration: You acknowledge that chat messages, community polls, and notice archives are automatically deleted from cloud storage after 90 days (`expiresAt` TTL) to optimize system performance and maintain privacy. Ensure you export any critical historical discussions independently.

5. Service Availability & Offline Caching

SocietyCare employs smart caching (`AsyncStorage` and progressive 6-month date queries) to ensure the app remains responsive under low-bandwidth or offline scenarios.

• We strive for 99.9% uptime via Google Cloud Firebase infrastructure, but do not guarantee uninterrupted access during scheduled cloud maintenance or force majeure events.

6. Account Termination & Self-Destruct

You may terminate your agreement at any time by executing the in-app "Delete Account" function from the Profile screen. Furthermore, accounts that remain unverified and unassigned to an approved society for 48 hours will self-destruct automatically.
